My background is as varied as my stories! I have degrees in Theater and Education and I’ve taught, sung, put on puppet shows, danced, sewn costumes, acted, painted, gardened, mothered, and grandmothered!  In addition to living in Michigan, Tennessee, Iowa and North Carolina, I’ve lived in England and visited Mexico, Canada and Germany!

For the last 7 years I’ve taught a music/puppetry/Spanish program to preschoolers at First Environments Early Learning Center. It was a remarkable experience to walk into a room and have a group of one year olds run over and sit down, ready to sing and play with me!  For the last four years I taught Art and Drama in the Enrichment program at Montessori Children’s House of Durham.

I currently live in Durham with my husband Milo, my brother Daniel, and a cat named Pharice.  My two daughters and my two grandchildren live nearby.  My son lives in Detroit (but I’m hoping that I and the lovely blue skies of NC will draw him down too!).

Storytelling combines all of my joys and interests!
